Chocolate Cookies with White Chocolate Chips

Or as my kids say it - Negative Chocolate Chip Cookies, as it's the alter ego of the classic. Michael made these to start off the school term on the right foot. Surely he wasn't out to bribe his fellow classmates. Just yet.

With or without nuts, white or milk or dark chocolate chips? Any which way brings you happiness when these delicious bites come out of the oven. Even more joy when you share.

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1-1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Beat together butter and sugars for 2 to 3 minutes in a mixer.
3. Add the eggs, one at a time, then the vanilla.
4. Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt together.
5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet batch.
6. Fold in the white chips and the walnuts.
7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
8. They will be rather soft, so cool in the baking sheet for 2 - 3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Enjoy with cold milk. Yumm .....
